Who Are We?

We are a community based, not-for-profit transport organisation for frail-aged, transport disadvantaged, people with disability and their carers,  in order to access medical, social and other services.

We provide 2-5 day tours, regional social & cultural outings.

Our Mission

Wyalong & District Community Transport is a community based, not-for-profit, person centred transport organisation for frail-aged, transport disadvantaged, people with disability and their carers, and the geographically isolated to provide;

1. Access to medical and other services
2. Social outings and short holidays and tours
3. Regional and cultural outings

In order to enable people to maintain independence, social connections and general wellbeing, as well as provide user-pays service.

Transport Services

Note: From the 1st July 2015 new frail older clients (over the age of 65 years) will be directed to My Aged Care on 1800 200 422 to be assessed for suitability. This is a new initiative of the Commonwealth Government. See the My Aged Care section of this site for further information.

We can provide subsidised taxi vouchers for eligible clients.

We ask all clients to make a contribution toward the cost of their trip.

You are entitled to have an advocate.

We run primarily on volunteers.

All our drivers undergo regular training, medicals & police checks.

Regular bus trips to Griffith via Ardlethan, Griffith via Barmedman, Griffith Via Weethalle rotating fortnightly.

Regular bus trips Wagga Wagga via Barmedman, Wagga Wagga via Ardlethan rotating fortnightly.

Monthly social trips.

Annual 5 day 4 night excursion.

Disability Services

Wyalong & District Community Transport provides services for disabled of all ages and their carers.

We have a wheelchair accessible vehicle.

Our volunteers are trained in manual handling.

We work with Kurrajong Waratah.

My Aged Care (MAC) was introduced on 1 July 2013 for clients over 65 years.

MAC will return your call to assess services needed.
